Here at Shearwater, the Mullumbimby Steiner School, the excitement is mounting as we once again embark on the magical carpet ride that is our annual Wearable Arts performance event, WAVE.
Design artists, fashion innovators, culture initiators and wearable inventors around Australia are already dreaming up their creations in preparation for this year’s event, The Gatekeeper, which will be performed in the Shearwater Hall, in November.
In 2023, we celebrate our School’s 30 year and the 23rd year of Wearable Arts at Shearwater. It’s going to be a special year of celebrations and we would love your help to make the magic happen.
Production Coordinator Joshua Rushton describes Wearable Arts as a conversation between school and world. “Shearwater’s Wearable Arts event has built, over more than two decades, an incredible production dynamic – a true artistic interface between high school and world.
“A competition that goes out to the community in April; a high school production that builds an incredible show around an inspiring theme and, finally, the integration of competition entries that brings the show to life.”
This year, we would love you to be part of the conversation.
Please find below some information on the different sponsorship packages we are offering our industry partners and supporters this year.
We hope to see you there!
